C.L.A.M. - Cooperativa Lagunare Allevatori Molluschi - was founded in Chioggia (Venice) in 1965 from the need of some farmers to market their produce directly.

Consequently the company is converted into waste water treatment plant to ensure consumers the authenticity of its products in accordance with European health standards.
